    • Off-Grid Energy Systems Modelling with MicroGridsPy

Welcome to the course “Off-Grid Energy Systems Modelling with MicroGridsPy”, an extract of the Engineering and Cooperation for Development course by Professor Emanuela Colombo from Politecnico di Milano.

This course, made possible with the collaboration of SESAM group from the Department of Energy at Politecnico di Milano, including Nicolò Stevanato, Alessandro Onori, Riccardo Mereu, and Emanuela Colombo, offers an in-depth exploration of third-generation minigrid technology and energy system modelling for off-grid energy systems. The course introduces MicroGridsPy, an open-source Python-based framework for optimizing the size and dispatch strategy of minigrids for electrification of rural areas.

Suitable for learners seeking to understand the basic concepts of energy modelling and how this can support rural minigrids sizing and electrification, the course provides valuable insights and practical knowledge. Earn a Statement of Participation upon completion.

This is the November 2024 presentation of the course.
