This advanced teaching certification recognizes expertise in designing and delivering comprehensive OnSSET training programs. It validates the ability to create sophisticated training materials, mentor other instructors, and adapt programs to diverse learning contexts. The qualification ensures instructors can lead complex training initiatives while advancing modelling education methodology.

Applicants will earn the OnSSET – Lead Instructor Badge if their submission meets the following criteria: 

1. Hold at least a Silver proficiency badge in OnSSET
2. Document teaching experience 
3. Provide evidence of independently designing and leading a full training program

Required Evidence:

 Submit comprehensive teaching portfolio:

• Provide links to / or upload course materials showcasing an example of full course design (should include syllabuses, assessments, timetable of lesson delivery etc.)
• Documentation of successful program delivery (Energy Modelling Platform track, in-country workshop or University Module corresponding to minimum 1 week/40 hours of teaching)- this could be in the form of student feedback or a letter of reference from training program coordinator or certified OnSSET Lead Instructor. 
• Link to student training outputs
• Submit a brief teaching philosophy (1-2 pages) outlining how you adapt training to different audiences and local contexts
