Here are Josh Clark, head of the Landmark School in the US, and Gavin Horgan, head of Millfield Schools in the UK, to explain why all of their teachers are taking the training.

We need to recognise that every teacher is a teacher of a dyslexic student. And, therefore, it is vital that every teacher, in every classroom, go through the Learn Dyslexia training.

GAVIN HORGAN

Every teacher that I've ever met is desperate to support all the learners in their class and to understand the needs of all their learners. So give teachers the tools they need. And it's easy to give them those tools. The training is short. And it's more about attitude and leadership. And if we do that, and if we celebrate and advocate for dyslexic thinking in the classroom, if we do what's right for dyslexic learners, all learners will improve along the way.

At the same time, we also must remember that many teachers are dyslexic, that their very brilliant dyslexic thinking is why they excel in the educational setting. So it's equally important that schools put all of their faculty and staff through the employee dyslexia training and partnership with LinkedIn.

At Landmark School, a school that specialises in students with dyslexia, all of our faculty and staff will be taking the employee dyslexia training, so we can support our students but also each other.

It is up to schools to support the children in their communities. It is up to every organisation to support the dyslexic employees in their communities.
