4. Dyslexic Thinking and entrepreneurs

Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, Daymond John, Barbara Corcoran, Jo Malone. Each one possessed a unique ability to see the world differently, to ask, 'What if?' and 'Why not?', to turn their passion into a successful business that redefined their sector.

BBC Research found that 40% of entrepreneurs are dyslexic. That is certainly true on the BBC's flagship show for entrepreneurs, ‘Dragon's Den’, where in a previous series 40% of the panel were dyslexic, including Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis. And more recently the brilliant dyslexic entrepreneur, Emma Grede, who co-founded Skims shapewear with Kim Kardashian, joined the show. On the US counterpart, 'Shark Tank', more than 50% of the panel were dyslexic. Kevin O'Leary, Daymond John and Barbara Corcoran.

But being an entrepreneur is not just about building a successful business and having financial success like we see on these hit TV shows. Social entrepreneurs do amazing things to make our world a better place too. So in this course I'll talk about this and speak to some incredible dyslexics doing incredible things.
