    • The badge system provides a consistent way to recognise modelling expertise across different organisations and tools, creating a clear path for professionals to develop their skills and advance their careers in energy and resource modelling. By encouraging ongoing learning and recognizing achievements, it helps build a vibrant community of practice in energy system modelling. The framework is designed to be flexible, accommodating various modelling approaches while promoting awareness of capacity-building opportunities through CCG's Energy Modelling Platform events, and similar programs. This structure not only standardises skill recognition but also connects modellers to a broader professional network, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development in the field of energy and resource system modelling. The badge available in this course is the OSeMOSYS - SIlver Proficiency Badge.

      Required Evidence:

      • Please upload your CV that details experience with tool: 
      • Please write approximately 200 words detailing how your CV meets the badge requirements. 

      Your submission should illustrate-

      • 2 years of work/project experience with OSeMOSYS

                                      OR 

      • 1 year of work/project experience, plus a relevant publication 

      And demonstrate an ability to: 

      • Design and develop complex energy/resource system models addressing specific real-world issues 
      • Implement advanced debugging techniques for more sophisticated models 
      • Critically evaluate scenario modelling results and their policy implications 
      • Communicate and documentate modelling outcomes effectively 
      • Adapt models to different geographical and socio-economic contexts 
      Note: this short 200 word response will be made publicly available on the proficiency badge concept note, on Zenodo, to ensure transparency regarding the inaugural badge holder process.
