Resource 3: Fraction discs

 Teacher resource for planning or adapting to use with pupils

Note: Resources 2 and 3 could be made out of wood or plastic. This way, they can be manipulated by the pupils and they will still last you for many years. They could also be painted. Ask a local senior school to make some for you as a part of a project for their pupils, or see if a local carpenter can make some.

These are made by drawing a circle and dividing it into halves, quarters, etc. (by folding if using paper).
