Identify national and international laws and CGIAR policies which affect decisions made by plant breeders and CGIAR Centres. 2. Appreciate what legal instruments to use when accessing, using or distributing plant genetic resources for food and agriculture (PGRFA) and data. 3. Appreciate ‘grey areas’ and flexibilities that currently exist within the framework of applicable laws and policies, and what you should do about them. 4. Demonstrate increased fluency in using the Standard Material Transfer Agreement.
