Background information / subject knowledge for teacher
The four photographs show some of the common fruits and vegetables that are available in many parts of Nigeria and also how some of these are prepared ready for eating.
These pictures can be used as a stimulus for discussion when exploring what pupils like to eat in Activity 1 and again in the Key Activity about healthy living if you have no access to magazines.
Your pupils could discuss why these foods are particularly good for them, which they like and how they cook them or eat them.
