The collection of modules listed below will give CDT students the required understanding and skills to undertake PhD projects on themes relevant to nuclear energy.

The modules will prepare students for CDT projects by:

  • providing the necessary regulatory understanding, as well as the technical and scientific knowledge, that is demanded from a nuclear professional working in the industry
  • giving a clear view of the whole nuclear life cycle, including its opportunities and commercial challenges
  • providing the necessary skills and behaviours to stimulate a group of innovative leaders.

The modules were written buy a team of authors from Imperial College, the Universities of Cambridge, Bristol University, the University of Bangor and The Open University as part of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Nuclear Energy Futures (funded by EPSRC).
