This collection of free courses were prepared under the EU Horizon 2020 project GAIN (Green Aquaculture Intensification) as the deliverable for Task 5.1 managed by the Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling. It introduces the project activities and the major themes under investigation. These include an examination of sustainability issues for aquaculture production and the means of addressing these through ecological intensification, feed innovations, precision management and the valorisation of aquaculture wastes to contribute to circular economies.
The courses are intended for people actively engaged with aquaculture production, seafood value chains, certification schemes and policy organisations, but will also be of interest to a wider professional and academic audience including students studying related subjects.
