Arts collection of courses

This article is about the collection of courses, An Introduction to Plastic Arts. It includes some information about how to navigate the courses and the badges you can earn.

The courses are free and easy, which makes it easier to learn more about the arts.

You can find theory and practice courses in the collection.

Feel free to enrol in the courses, and you will see they are interesting and might be useful for you if you are interested in becoming an artist.

The Introduction to Plastic Arts collection includes several courses. This guide organizes them for you. Start with the right order to build skills step by step. Begin with the Art Essentials course. It gives an overview of art basics. You get general practice tasks. Look at samples from my work.

The main assignment asks you to draw something. Complete it, and you earn a badge. This course covers important materials and techniques for practice, like pencils, paints, and basic tools. It connects to drawing and coloring essentials. Examples show how to color drawings with pencils or oil pastels. You also experiment with oils or watercolors. Start here; it opens the door to my art world.

Next, move on to the Acrylics Essentials course. Think of it as your main practice. Here, you learn to build an assemblage by combining elements into one piece. Submit a photo of your work for the graded task. Do well, and you earn the artist badge. This is the top reward for the entire collection.

Now, focus on the Basics of Oil Painting. I created this as my first course. It centers on oil paints. You will find five clear exercises with specific tips on color mixes, shapes, and forms. Complete the quiz, and add a photo of your painting. You will receive a badge. Its strong theoretical base makes it important. Beginners quickly grasp the main ideas.

Don’t miss the Basics of Water Color, either. It includes practice drills, with two focused on watercolor pastels. Each exercise follows my step-by-step instructions. Watch how I layer colors and match those steps in your own practice. Most courses automatically track your progress. Just visit every page. You finish once you are done. Score 50% or higher to pass. That's manageable for most.

Badges show up in Art Essentials, Art Concepts, and Art Appreciation. Art history fans should check out two courses. One explores the ancient world, while the other covers modern art history. You can earn badges in both. Enhance your understanding with additional topics. Portrait making focuses on facial details. Color theory explains hues and blends. The Basics of Perspective and Descriptive Geometry help improve your drawings by fixing angles and depth issues.

At the end of your studies, you will just need to participate in the online contest for the best artists of the year. Take these courses. Practice often. Watch your art improve. Enjoy the process!
