This advanced teaching certification recognises expertise in designing and delivering comprehensive EAE training programs. It validates the ability to create sophisticated training materials, mentor other instructors, and adapt training programs to diverse learning contexts. The qualification ensures instructors can lead complex training initiatives while advancing energy modelling education methodology.

 

Applicants will earn the EAE – Lead Trainer Badge if their submission meets the following criteria:

  1. Hold at least a Silver proficiency badge in EAE
  2. Demonstrate previous experience as an Associate Instructor
  3. Design and lead a full training program independently
  4. Develop comprehensive course materials
  5. Receive endorsement from another Lead Instructor – who has observed at least one component of training program – and EMC Track Lead (‘course manager’)

Applicant needs to provide evidence of the following activities:

  • Successful delivery of a comprehensive training program equivalent to EMPs or master's level module with 7.5 ECTS 
  • EMC track lead instructor or course manager evaluation
  • Strategy for adapting training to different contexts and learner groups

Evidence required:

  • Submit a detailed teaching portfolio showcasing designed training programs and materials
  • Upload a CV outlining the relevant teaching experience in Energy Access Explorer
  • Letter or evaluation form completed by the EMC lead instructor or course manager
