Definition of Leadership (Week 1 - Activity 3)

Your working definition of leadership is clear and succinct. It embodies best practice but does not guarantee that a leader will bring issues to the table to be acted upon. Alas, a leader in title for instance, may then be judged as ineffective and is unlikely to nurture and inspire their peers. It is my belief that all individuals have the capability of demonstrating leadership. However, courage of conviction is for some, a suppressed personal quality that inhibits their expression of good intent. If used as a leadership tool, just the simple act of presenting a definition of leadership to an individual may well awaken that individual and induce a fresh focus on equally dormant sector issues.

My definition of leadership is the Development of awareness, ideas, a plan of action, and people, through inclusive and robust discussion which motivates endeavor and purpose.
