Week 1 Activity 3

This definition of leadership is fascinating and offer perspectives to think about the futur. My only add would be that even if I agree that practice is central, I believe that personal competency is also crucial to allow sustainability of the organisation. Personal competency in people management, communication, equality strands and financial responsibilities are good example of personal competency that people need to enhance regularly to stay in line with wider societal stakes.

Hi Rachel

This is an interesting comment because it begs the question as to where the boundary lies between leadership and management.  Do you have any thoughts on this in relation to personal competency?

Hi Rachel,

I think you make some good points about personal competency. I’m interested to know how much culture plays a part in embedding those personal competencies into an organisation so that they become sustainable.
