Possible scenarios

Depending on the location there are different scenarios for birds overall.

In natural or seminatural places with engagement of conservationists or no major negative effects of land use, human disturbance etc. birds will possibly survive, thrive or recover from declines in other places.

In degraded ecosystems like cities, intensively used farmland etc. birds will decline in numbers and species and biotic homogenization towards few sturdy species (generalistic species) will happen.

As more  degraded places dominate and lesser  natural or seminatural functional ecosystems exist, as quicker this development will take place with all its negative outcomes of globally reduced ecosystem services.
