Why put AI in education at present?

Both articles were qualitative, but felt like opinion. Neither moved my central beliefs much, but they did help to clarify problems, results and progress. We are already in a situation where I suspect our academic system is gamed massively. I am not a fan of AI, but I am interested. So much so that last year I was doing L806 Linguistics and artificial intelligence, but I had problems with Jupyter Notebooks (again). They are not very disability riendly. I don't think AI should be in higher tasks, it should be replacing clerks, and then perhaps when it has advanced it may be useful doing the more humdrum in higher areas.
