Welcome to the course

Dear Learners

As you are aware, the Scottish Government are committed to getting it right for every child in Scotland.  Fundamental to the aim of improving the life chances for children is having a knowledgeable and confident workforce. As part of their commitment to improving children's potential, the Scottish Government have commissioned a suite of courses aimed at developing the knowledge and expertise of the workforce. 

Early Childhood at The Open University are delighted to have worked with the Scottish Government on this module which focuses on identifying and responding to children who have additional support needs. The course is aimed at all practitioners, no matter what your level of qualification or experience.

This forum is for you to engage with the other participants who are on the course.  Please use it to ask questions or discuss any issues that arise as you go through the course
