week 6 thoughts

thoughtful,: of the child and parent needs its the little things like a cup of tea at a meeting, the thought of maybe the area isnt right now but can i change it.

understanding: these are new situations for everyone, just because the parent/child is used to other agencies being involved it doesnt mean they are comfortable with it and should consider them in factors.

patient: as much as i think i am helping a child sometimes ALL children want to try things so allow them, time and patience to do it.

thank you very much for these thoughts Margaret.  I agree with all of your thoughts, but especially about the need to give children time to do things at their pace and the need for us to have patience while it happens!
