Dear Colleagues

thank you so much for joining us this evening to hear Joanne Gibson talk about the ways that ELC practitioners can support children's speech, language and communication.  You contributed many great ideas and thank you for your collaboration.

Please continue to ask any other questions that you would like passed on to Joanne or to make comments and share ideas here on the forum.

thank you for your positive feedback.

I will make the recording available to you when I receive it.

Speech, language and communication webinar

Thank you to all.

Technical Aspect:  I heard and could see presenters using Safari and laptop. My screen display and options didn't look like the webinar intro in the slides shared, so I could not see any option to check microphone or screen. I suspect the link brought us all in with default for cameras and mic off as I could only see / hear Joanne and Jackie throughout.

Sarah, thank you for your comments through chatbox.

Overall, I actually found the amount of comments in the chat a bit distracting - so perhaps, if we do this again with same platform, I think it will be worth investigating how to do minimise the chat, but it may not be as busy again another time of course.

Joanne's presentation was really useful and very well presented with the case studies. A lovely connection from webinar to practical. Clear link to developmental concepts and the importance of having a consistent and collaborative approach. Highlighting that the supporting adults are key to each child receiving the support they need - and that early interventions appropriate to the child, can make a truly significant difference in that child's experience and in their development - were points clearly made. I really enjoyed the presentation and want to congratulate Joanne for keeping the flow whilst sharing all the information and responding to the chat box dialogue so promptly too.

I think one of slides shared tonight was a bit different to the one in download so that would be lovely to have too.

Thanks to all.
