What a teacher can do, to make the lesson a learner- centered type, are as follows:

- The teacher should ensure that the students are engaged and motivated to learn.

- The classroom relationships should be based on mutual respect.

- The learning should challange the students and build on their existing knowledge.

- The students should be given the chance to talk about their ideas to support their learning.

- The curriculum should be relevant to learner's lives.

- The activities should promote a range of skills including critical thinking and creativity.

- The assessment should test a range of skills and give credit for more than recall of knowledge.

- There should  be a relationship between the teacher and the learner.
