These are questions that leads to critical thinking Meda. The use of digital and social media must be seen as a technology that has come to stay in the new normal.
Therefore, all we should aim for as Teachers and Teacher Educators is to constantly find out the newest or latest upgrades in education software applications, adapt to the usage and quickly deepen our knowledge of it. In this way, we are able to monitor our own progress and that of the learners as well, evaluate their performances and assess not just their grades but their attitude to the continuous improvements in the ICT-education.
It should be the responsibility of every teacher to work at developing skills in this ICT era. Working hand in hand with colleagues will make this effective and efficient.
Social media can be used to some extent where the student is suppossed to discuss a topic. They can use it to bring reality to the classroom set up. There are contextual challanges that a teacher need to contend with some of which include lack of clarity and biasness on the person reporting with the social media
