I have learnt many things from this course. i will highlight a few:

1. Integrating ICT into teacher education: that ICT can be incorporated in various ways to have lessons more interactive, student centered and motivating.

2. OERs : I do not have to reinvent the wheel! there is so much information that I can adopt or use as is for my classes as well as refer students to. this releases time to engage more meaningfully with individual students in the class

3. Teaching Practicum and micro-teaching for large classes can still be learner centred and practical as well as provide for critical thinking for decision making. here ICTs are key facilitators.

4. Assessment: Very innovative assessment methods that provide for immediate feedback, review of responses ( assessments of learning for learning as well as grading).

5. collaborative teaching and learning through communities. A gem that has been less utilized in the past. That it is more beneficial and it improves practice by working in communities of practice such as colleagues.

1. I have realized the benefits of ICT in creating interactive learning through discussion forums, making students participate in various activities and the power of ICT in developing skills in learners,

2. In my practice, I will encourage group discussions and learner centered education.

3. I would like to know how to develop assessment and etivities.

Covid19 reignited my interest iin open learning. My college llike other institutions is grappling with having learners continue with their education and the course has indeed sharpened my skills! I am going to share more of the OER resources with my learners.

I have garnered a lot of new insights about previously familiar topics. But the link between ICT and learner centred teaching has been one of the key lessons I am taking away from this course. ICT has the potential to promote learner centred education while at the same time enhancing the pedagogical skills of teachers. 

It has been a very hands on course and it has greatly changed my teaching. OER is a great resource that I will keep on making use of. Moving forward my online teaching will be more learner centered and interactive with better use of the online discussion platforms and breakout rooms. I like the idea of learning through communities and having to document my journey and will make use of it in my teaching.

1. I support that active learning with using ICT and OER has changed, ICT and OER make teaching easier than before.

2. PowerPoint with good slide content

KNOWING HOW TO TEACH A SUBJECT THAT IS PEDAGOGY AND KNOWING THE DIFFERENT NEEDS OF ONES STUDENTS ARE AS VITAL AS KNOWING THE CONTENT OF SUBJECT TAUGHT.

I have definitely learnt a lot. Integrating ICT in my teaching to make lessons memorable. That my students can be made to use their smart phones in learning in ways they have never imagined! That OER are right where my students are: on their phones.

I have learnt to make my classes more interactive however large they are.

I loved the quizzes here. The fact that they were multiple choice or had options did not make it any easier. Good preparation was required.

I also loved the online group discussion work, My mic however kept failing me! An experience/challenge our students have. I experienced that first hand.

I would love to know how to organize the breakaway rooms for my students because I handle classes of 200 plus.

It has been really engaging experience. The Quiz was very tricky, multiple choice of responses almost confusing (had to retake!!!) But overall it has opened my eyes on new possibilities in involving my learners in the instructional process, as well as the goldmine of the OER repositories for use in my designs for instructions to make them quality.

I agree with colleagues. There was a lot to learn.

For me, let me first talk of 2 things:

1. ICT in education made simple. No need of reinvention of the wheel as Elizabeth Abenga puts it.Start simple. Start where you are....

2. The rich resources on the open learn repository have mesmerised me!

3. I feel more confident, working online training or coordinating programmes online now

my idea of ICT enhanced learning has changed. Now i know I do not have to wait to have the big gadgets before I can practice ICT enhanced learning.

One idea i will be incorporating into my teaching is using the little technological devices such as smartphones available for to my learners to enhance their learning process.

My thought about the issue of active learning has changed, it is now clear that with the little available technologies available in my school (Laptops, smartphone and projector) learning could be more engaging and interactive. Instead of frowning at students chatting while lessons are going on in the class, teacher educators should engage the learners to generate ideas for the theme been discussed using their smartphone. The student should be guided and not spoon fed with lots of notes or materials but tasked and guided to search and select relevant materials such as the OER for the topic using their laptops, smartphones and camera. teachers can also use webcam and video recorders to record lectures and podcast for learners to go at their own pace and catch up with lectures they missed.

Collaborative learning for continual professional development

Adapting OER to suit various topics in the courses I am teaching, also knowledge creation as well as using various applications to enhance discharge of my duties.

I have learned that even with large classes as a teacher educator i can ensure i have learner centered education. That ICT can be used creatively in teacher Education like for instance the use of webinars , Break out rooms etc through Zoom.   I have learned about the potential of OERs and how to integrate these resources in my teaching.

i will take the idea of using ICT and OERS's more in my teaching.

What i would like to know more about is how to organise for polls relevant to the content i teach

Yes it has changed a big time. I can for sure say, this was more of learning than schooling. It is involving but come out having learned. I hope to integrate this in my teaching, with your support. Would like to know how best I can embrace this in our institution. What impressed me most is solar classroom, it gave the hope that that rural child can benefit by use of technology

This course has opened me further especially on adaptions and adoption of OERs. My perspective of teaching especially on child centred learning has  been improved.

Some of the things I learnt from this course, are as follows:

- ICT has the potential to accelerat, enrich and deepen skills, motivate and engage students in learning, helps to relate school experiences to work places, helps to create economic viability, for tomorrow's workers, contribute to radical changes in school, strengthens teaching and provide opportunities for connection between the school and the world. 

Hence, ICT should be made compulsory  at all levels of education.

-  The ability to use OER, to develop resources and tools and adopt open licence for the teacher and students and building teacher ICT capacities for classroom activities.

- Ensuring that my current style of teaching is learner- centred, whereby the learner is at the center of the education process and actively engaged in his/her own learning.

- One idea that I will take into my own practice is using TESSA OER to support my teacher learners.

- What I would like to know more about, is on the student - centred pedagogy.

After going through this course, I have better understanding on Active learning, ICT and OER.

I will use OER to source for materials to improve my teaching

I have learnt more about the importance of using teaching strategies that enhance active learning.
