Going froward, I would like to integrate a number of ICT resources into ,my online teaching.
One thing I have learnt on this course is the need to integrate ICT or technology for teaching and learning. However, it should not be technology for its own sake. Integration must be purposeful and must be planned to add value to a lesson. Furthermore, most of us are worried about the lack or shortage of ICT devices in our institution. While investment in ICTs would be helpful, we are encouraged to make do with what is available like use of own mobile devices which were procured for other purposes but can now be used for teaching and learning. This is very important point especially in Africa where resources for procuring state of the art equipment is severely limited by lack of resources. This encouraging and should spur us to implement integration of technology in our teaching on completion of the course.
