Lag

The length of time (time lag) required for a ‘driving temperature ‘to cause heat flow through a building element;  used in calculations of ‘transient heat  flow’.  Ranges from less than 1/2 hour in lightweight materials to over 36 hours for concrete slabs-on-ground.
