8.6 Staff training and education as part of your Action Plan

Your Action Plan should also include ways in which the organisation will help all staff and volunteers to recognise safeguarding concerns and know how to report them. This will include:

• Developing plans to provide training and information to staff that is appropriate to their role.
• Establishing and publicising a reporting process for all staff and volunteers.
• Providing athletes, including children and their parents, with clear information about how they can report concerns.

This training is vitally important to help everyone understand abuse and how they can identify the signs and indicators of abuse and report their concerns.
