I recently completed the safeguarding course, and I found it to be extremely informative and practical. The course covers all essential aspects of safeguarding, including recognising concerns, understanding risk assessments, and knowing how to respond appropriately in both child and adult safeguarding scenarios.
What stood out most was the emphasis on real-world applications, such as managing reporting processes, creating trauma-informed environments, and implementing safeguarding measures for events and competitions. The course also highlights the importance of confidentiality, transparency, and collaboration, which are key for making defensible and responsible safeguarding decisions.
I also appreciated the interactive approach, with case studies, scenarios, and quizzes that reinforced understanding and allowed me to test my knowledge. It provides clear guidance for Safeguarding Leads, volunteers, and staff on how to create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments.
Overall, the course is well-structured, thorough, and highly relevant for anyone involved in sports, education, or any setting where the welfare of children and vulnerable adults is a priority. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking to strengthen their safeguarding knowledge and practice.
