Guidelines

Rewilding Europe offers a range of practical guidelines on rewilding, focusing on areas such as natural grazing, the circle of life, the development and use of wildlife hides for nature-positive tourism, and the role of forests in mitigating climate change and biodiversity loss.

Scientific institutions such as the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) convene specialists from around the world to produce guidelines on topics relevant to rewilding. These include guidelines for reintroductions and other conservation translocations, and on human-wildlife conflict and coexistence.

The rewilding organisations and initiatives in your country will also have specific reports, guidelines and events where you can find out more about rewilding. Find out who they are by exploring the contacts near you.

All of these organisations offer resources in several languages.

Founding a new rewilding organisation

Guidelines on setting up a new organisation – business or foundation – will be available on the website of your country's government.
