Production team Playing keyboards Shane Gubby has been in the music business for 16 years and in that time, computers have changed the meaning of jamming. Where once he would have to carry gear up and down stairs to gigs and various emporiums he is now able to stay in his studio and take part in a global jamming session across the Internet.

Shane creates a sound piece using drums, transfers it to the computer and sends the data to other musicians on the Rocket Network. The recipients scattered all over the world in turn reply by adding their relevant sections resulting in a complete score.

The software is not only used for jamming, professional musicians are saving time and money by using this virtual collaboration tool. The software allows instant messaging and chat between musicians, and can connect anyone using the software to an existing online session. It supports widely used audio software, such as Cubase, ProTools and Logic Audio, so musicians don't have to buy special authoring software to use the RocketControl tool.
