... plannig for Luck

Hugh O'Brien

Another great video Evan,
To increase yoru luck you coould consider ...
Luck = Prepardness times Opportunity
Although I think this is a rather loose forumla, it does give us some information.
If you have a goal you are more likely to be successful if you are well prepared for the opportunity "when it comes along". So Prepardness is something people potentially have a large amount of control over. Opportunity on the other hand are less controllable by people, although you can make sure you are involved in as many opportunities as possible.
An example is if you aspire to be a pop star. You can work on your singing and your image and your music skills, and even your own personal style (i.e. prepardness). For opportunity, whcih are harder to create, but you can seek them out, i.e you can go to auditions and you can contact record companies and send them demos.  If you do all these things you are much more likely to be a successful pop star.
Of course there is more involved in being a pop star than what I have written here, you have to have that special "it". Although I do hope I have shown that there is alot people can do to create their own luck.
