TESSA & TESS-India resources
TESS-India (Teacher Education through School-based Support in India) is working alongside the Indian government to use Open Educational Resources (OER) to achieve transformational change for teacher educators and teachers working in elementary and lower secondary schools in India. The materials comprise text and video materials in multiple languages to meet a range of professional needs and contexts of use. The TESS-India OER can be integrated into formal and informal pre-service and in-service teacher education programmes to support locally identified teacher development needs and may also be of interest to schools in the UK. TESS-India is led by The Open University and funded by UK aid from the UK government.
TESSA is a network of teachers and teacher educators working alongside The Open University, UK, to improve the quality of classroom practice and access to teacher education resources across sub-Saharan Africa. It does this through offering a range of Open Educational Resources (OER) in four languages to support school-based teacher education: English, French, Swahili (Tanzania) and Arabic (Sudan). This website provides links to various resources which you may find useful.
