2 Workplace organising

In general, when you hear about workplace organising, it is concerned with trade union organising. This can be done by affiliating with a pre-existing trade union or by building an independent trade union from scratch. But the basic principles in both cases are largely the same. In your workplace, you may already have a recognised trade union you can become a member of. But in lots of workplaces there is no formally recognised union. In either case, ensuring that employees in the workplace are well placed to represent their interests is of the utmost importance, and this is largely a numbers game.
