Richard Blundel
Biography
Richard Blundel is Professor of Enterprise and Organisation at The Open University and a member of the Department for Public Leadership and Social Enterprise (PuLSE) in The Open University Business School. He is also co-author with Nigel Lockett and Catherine Wang, of the textbook Exploring Entrepreneurship (2nd edition) (Sage, 2017)
I aman organisational researcher with a particular interest in the links between entrepreneurial activity, innovation and environmental sustainability. I have examined the nature and consequences ofgrowth in differentorganisational contexts, including small artisanal food producers, manufacturing businesses and social enterprises. Mywork has appearedin journals such as Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, Enterprise & Society, Industry & Innovation, The European Journal of the History of Economic Thought, Business Ethics: A European Review, Prometheus: Critical Studies in Innovation, and the Journal of Small Business Management.
Recent teaching roles include module production chair for B205 Exploring Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a 60 point module (first presentation October 2016), and member of the authoring team for B327 Creating Futures: Sustainable Enterprise and Innovation (first presentation: October 2017) and BB851 Entrepreneurship in Context (first presentation: November 2020).
