2.2 IT systems in everyday life

In Activity 3 you identified some of the IT systems and devices that you use for communication, which are part of your immediate environment. These devices do not operate in isolation but need to be part of an information and communication system – linked to other devices with the capability to transfer data between them. All the examples above are therefore associated with networks of one kind or another.

Here are some examples of situations where IT is having an impact on our everyday lives.
