Earth Speaks Earth Speaks describes itself as a research project in which "people from around the world are invited to submit pictures, sounds, and text messages that they would want to send to other worlds. The project aims to foster a dialogue about what we should say to extraterrestrial intelligence, as well as whether or not we should be sending intentional messages".

It was initiated by researchers, scientists & educators and encourages people to participate through an online platform and research & learning. Earth Speaks is global in orientation and concerned with participation and extraterrestrial communication

It was launched in 2009 and is ongoing.
