OpenFSM logo Copyrighted  image Icon Copyright: OpenFSM OpenFSM describes itself as "a platform for participatory social activism provided by the World Social Forum [...] the simple way to bring groups together, promote your cause, make plans, get things done and make another world possible".

It was initiated by designers & developers and social movement activists and encourages people to participate through an online platform. OpenFSM is global in orientation and concerned with democracy, politics & representation; economy; education; environment & sustainability; anti-discrimination, equality & social justice; health; human rights; international development; media democratisation; public services, research, knowledge & information access.

It was launched in 2008 and is ongoing. Over 3000 people are involved.
