The Green Primary logo Copyrighted  image Icon Copyright: The Green Primary The Green Primary describes itself as an initiative that asks "green-minded people from all over Europe to choose our two leading candidates for the European election 2014 through an online primary". The initiative will "help reduce the gap between political institutions and the citizens" and "take steps towards creating a common European political space".

It was initiated by a political party and encourages people to participate through an online platform and voting. The Green Primary is transnational in orientation and concerned with democracy, politics & representation.

It was launched in 2013 and ends on 29 January 2014.
