Vital started out in July 2009 as a government funded project to enhance 'ICT teaching' in state funded 5-19 education in England. Vital's remit covered ICT, IT and Computer Science as specialist subjects, as well as the use of digital technology across the curriculum. The Open University (OU) developed Vital until the end of March 2013, when Jisc Advance took over the Vital brand and website.

Please note: These resources are hosted on this site as a record of the Vital project. The courses and resources in this project have not been updated since the project ended and none of them have course completion tracking set up or a Statement of Participation.
