  • Course learning outcomes

    After you have completed this course you should have, 

    1. Basic understanding of the history of access rights in Scotland and key events leading to the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003.
    2. Understanding of the access legislation in Part 1 of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003.
    3. Awareness of the Scottish Outdoor Access Code.
    4. Awareness of the role of rights of way and rights of navigation in the modern access system.
    5. Awareness of other legislation impacting Scottish access rights.
    6. Basic ability to use knowledge of access rights to resolve real-life scenarios.
    7. Awareness of where to find further information on Scottish access rights.
