    • Welcome to Supporting legal workplace wellbeing

      Supporting legal workplace wellbeing is a new course providing guidance to those individuals in legal workplaces whose roles involve supporting the wellbeing of others, from team managers to leaders of law firms to Wellbeing Leads and Wellbeing Champions. This may include legal professionals, human resources professionals, learning and development professionals and others. The overall aim of the course is to promote psychologically and emotionally healthier ways of working in law.

      The course was produced by The Open University and the University of Sheffield in collaboration with the charity LawCare.

    As a result of studying this course you will be able to:

    • Develop your own theory of change record to provide a roadmap for supporting wellbeing in your own legal workplace.
    • Understand the wider context in which your role is situated.
    • Explore how skills such as emotional competence and professional resilience will equip you to support others.
    • Explore wellbeing challenges that are likely to arise within legal workplaces and develop evidence-informed strategies to tackle them.
    • Reflect on how to embed wellbeing within workplace culture in a sustainable and effective way which is evaluated appropriately.
