    • Welcome to the course

Pharmaceuticals play an important role in modern society. The impact of medicines on human health has been profound, but also comes with negative consequences. Across three modules, this course introduces topics relevant to sustainable pharmaceuticals. Sustainability and environmental impact are explained, and illustrated with interactive environments across the pharmaceutical supply chain. The basics of relevant European policy is also provided. You can treat the course as a self-taught exercise, or as a teacher or training coordinator adapt it for workshops. The material is suitable for senior high school students and university students, and can also be used for professional development in the healthcare sector. All images and diagrams are free to reuse for non-profit purposes. If the resources are being adapted and distributed as slides, we encourage educators to add alt text to images.
This resource was developed by the TRANSPHARM research project with funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101057816.
