      • Welcome to Global trends in death and dying

      • “Global trends in death and dying”, written collaboratively and produced as part of research led by the End of Life Studies Group at the University of Glasgow and supported by the Wellcome Trust is aimed at anyone who is interested in global trends in death and dying.

        This open course asks you to consider a range of questions. For example, What is death like around the world? How do we know what the causes and circumstances of death are globally? Are these changing, and if so, why? We will try to find the answers to these questions in this short module.

        You can study this course online at a pace that suits you. It also gives you an opportunity to connect with your peers and you can use it as a framework to support group work with colleagues. You can also download the sections to study offline, though you need to return to the online version to complete the activities and quiz.

        By studying the course you will have the opportunity to gain a Statement of Participation – you need to click on the ‘Enrol’ button for your activity to be recorded. Please visit every page when enrolled and complete the activities and quiz in order to gain the Statement of Participation.
