In this course you will learn about basic botany. You will discover how plants are grouped and classified and how 'Latin names' work. You will learn about the external and internal morphology of plants - what the different parts of a plant are called, and how plant processes such as photosynthesis and water movement work. You will also discover how plants reproduce and the biology of seed germination.

This introductory course will help you to understand how the plants in your garden work and prepare you for further study in plant biology if you would like to take your learning further.
