As a health or social care professional you may provide care for people with Parkinson's. This may be in hospital, full-time residential care, in the community or in short-term respite care. It is likely that you will mostly come into contact with people with Parkinson's who are at the complex phase and this will be the focus of this course.
You will work online in this course at a pace that suits you. It also gives you an opportunity to connect with your peers and you can use it as a framework to support group work with colleagues.
By studying the course, you will have the opportunity to gain a digital badge – you need to click on the ‘Enrol’ button to be able to do the quizzes and earn the badge. You can find out more about the Understanding Parkinson's badge on the Course and badge information page.
This course is produced by the Parkinson's Excellence Network. It was originally produced as a face-to-face workshop course and was re-versioned for online study with the support of the Opening Educational Practices in Scotland Project.
