Birds are animals with many talents. They can fly, hear very well and see very well. Some are great swimmers too!

Mallards have webbed feet which make swimming easy. They eat fish and plants from the riverbanks. They will also eat seeds, acorns or berries that they can find.

How many types of duck, geese or swan can you name?

Whilst ducks like eating bread, eating too much isn't healthy for them. Next time you visit a river or loch, take some peas, seeds or oats.

Feeding ducks isn't always easy

Be careful when feeding ducks! Ducks, geese and swans can be a little aggressive if you get too close. Although no birds have teeth, ducks have ridged beaks instead.

Now it's time to put your knowledge to the test! Can you match the bird to their habitat? Once you're done, let's check your answers.
