Please note that in the presentation you have been shown the PASS technique for using fire extinguishers, however, there is an exception to this. 'When using a foam extinguisher, it will dispense a short jet of water for the first couple of seconds as the foam is created. If this water is directed at an oil fire, a fireball will result. Therefore, when using a foam extinguisher, it is important to point it away from the fire until good foam is being produced, and then fight the fire.
