Learning and the future

Involving all learners
The emphasis on noticing and valuing all students has highlighted the importance of being aware of diverse learning needs in my mathematics classroom. Moving forward, I will actively ensure that I create a classroom environment where all students feel respected and included. By tailoring questions and tasks to engage students with varying abilities, I can provide equitable learning opportunities for all.

Talk for learning
The resource "Talk for Learning" has shown me how verbalizing thinking can enhance students' understanding of mathematics. I will plan more opportunities for students to engage in discussions that challenge their reasoning, allowing them to develop critical thinking skills. Encouraging students to explain their solutions will foster a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. This is going to be quite difficult because of the language barrier.  I hope integrate more of the local language to make this possible.

Group work
Pairwork has reinforced the idea that collaboration helps students build confidence and clarify their thinking. In future lessons, I will incorporate more pair-based tasks where students can work together to solve mathematical problems. This will not only encourage peer learning but also allow me to provide more personalized support. For this to be possible, it may be necessary to provide online means of supporting the provision of feedback during concuring observation in the classroom.
