Week 4 Activity 4

Our organisation is independent and completely self funded through property portfolio, rents and investment income.  Being an environmental organisation we should only have property and investments with sound green credentials however some investments and property are not as 'green' as supporters, trustees and volunteers would hope for however they yield the best return therefore ensuring that the organisation is sound for the future, something all involved are striving for.

That sounds like a common dilemma. What about having an ethics committee (or similar) where issues like that can be discussed. I only say that as I heard a discussion with RSPB  - they have one to discuss difficult decisions relating to conservation e.g getting rid of crows to protect curlews.
