In Morocco, one of the government’s main priorities in education is improving the quality of teaching and reducing inequalities in access to education. The government has introduced reforms to modernise schools, improve teachers’ training, strengthen digital learning, and reduce school dropout rates. Inclusiveness is also an important goal, particularly for children from disadvantaged families and students living in rural or remote areas. Measures such as financial support, school transport, meals, and social assistance aim to help students stay in education. These policies have increased access to schooling, but challenges remain, especially regarding the quality of education, regional inequalities, and high dropout rates. In my view, the government could do more by investing in rural schools, improving teacher recruitment and training, expanding digital access, and providing stronger support for students with disabilities and other vulnerable groups. Overall, continued investment is needed to make education more equal and effective for everyone.
