Filling out online forms
You can use UK government or local council websites to apply for various types of benefits or government support. Some people may find form-filling confusing. If you want to know beforehand what kind of questions will appear on the digital form and what documents you need to prepare, Citizens Advice [Tip: hold Ctrl and click a link to open it in a new tab. (Hide tip)] has information on claiming benefits, council tax and other issues.
Online forms sometimes require you to upload a document from your computer. Before you can upload a document, you will need to have it saved somewhere on your computer. If the document you need to upload is not yet stored on your computer, you may need to download the document from the web or scan a paper copy and save it digitally.
