Dr Joel C. Gill is an interdisciplinary geoscientist, integrating natural and social science approaches to address issues relating to sustainable development and disaster risk reduction. He is Lecturer in Sustainable Geoscience at Cardiff University and the Founder/Executive Director of the UK-based charity Geology for Global Development. Follow Joel on Twitter.

Dr Faith Taylor is a physical geographer with interests in geographic information systems (GIS), spatial modelling, statistics and natural hazards, particularly in the urban Global South. Her past research activities include developing a spatial model of road infrastructure network disruptions from triggered landslide events, assessing multi-hazard infrastructure risk in urban Africa, and qualitative GIS techniques to visualize resilience in informal settlements. Faith is currently a Lecturer in Physical Geography Education in the Department of Geography.

Dr Solmaz Mohadjer is a geoscientist, investigating the linkage between mountain hazards and mountain building processes, continental deformation and erosion.
